Headache is a continuous pain in the area of the head not confined to the area of distribution of any nerve. Headaches are getting common among children especially school going children, and it becomes frequent as a child grows older. The results revealed that all patients were having intermittent headache (2-3 months) for the duration of up to 2 years. Headache was not affecting the sleep activity or appetite of the child. The factors initiating the headache included disturbed family patterns, family phobia, differential parenting styles including over expectations or ignoring. The heavy school work lead to fear of studies that in turn affected the attendance and the scholastic performance. To some extent, the surrounding environmental factors also lead to difficulty in social adjustment. These certain issues lead to stress headaches for most of the children almost every day. In no case, any family history of any psychiatric illness, traumas or any such kind of headaches as those of migraine, sinusitis, etc. was understood. It was also seen that in most cases girls were more affected than boys.Keywords

The 21st century saw a "strong awakening of interest in human treatment of intellectual disability." Ones know that intellectual disability is a disability characterized by significant limitations in both intellectual functioning and in adaptive behavior, which cover many every day social and practical skills. This disability originates before the age of 18. The main purpose of the study was to investigate the parent's philosophy towards their intellectual disabled children and also to find out the levels of differences. All parents of children with intellectual disability, were included in the study between January 2014 and November 2014, were enrolled in a cross sectional questionnaire based study. Each parent underwent a help of a validated questionnaire. All parents' needs conditions were noted. A group of sex and aged matched patients seen during the same period served as a control group. Comparisons were analyzed using 't'-test. They were assessed with the help of a validated questionnaire "NIMH-Family Needs Schedule." There was a significant difference in the score for male parents (mean=64.76, standard deviation [SD]=27.70) and female parents (mean=85, SD=18.62), t-score=−18.692, significant at 0.05 levels.Keywords

The Present study to examine the effect of video, mobile games on children's behavior. 160, school going children's, age range from 7 to 10 were recruited based on random sampling. They were administered the Child and Adolescent Inpatient Behavioural Rating Scale, in the sample group. The data were analyzed with the help of compared “t” test, an analysis of variance showed a Mean of boy's Child and Adolescent Inpatient Behavioural Rating Scale 102.97 and girls Child and Adolescent Inpatient Behavioural Rating Scale Mean 72.5, and t-value is 13.11, significant at 0.05 levels. In present study show that most of the bad effects of video games are blamed on the violence and other behaviour issues. Children who play more video, and mobile games are more likely to have increased Anxiety , communication problem , psychomotor activity, conduct disorder/ disruptive behaviour, social skills, attention and hyperactive behaviour , aggressive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and decreased prosocial helping.Keywords

The aim of the study was to identify the impact of birth of a preterm baby on the emotional states of the parent. In addition to this, it also assessed the impact of preterm birth on various aspects of the family life.. Keeping in mind, the assessment of the emotional quotient of parents of NICU admitted babies was carried out by using a prevalidated questionnaire by IBHQ. About 76 parents of NICU admitted babies from NKPSIMS &Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, Nagpur, India. The results show that, there is significant difference seen in the means of daily routine of parent, parental attitude and financial consequences of babies above and below 2 kg of body weight. There is a significant difference observed in the means of parental attitude of babies of primigravida and multipara women. The study also shows that parents' emotional state is positively correlated with their physical state, daily routine, & attitude as well as with financial state. Similarly, positive correlation is seen between their physical state with daily routine, attitude, and financial state. The daily routine of parents is positively correlated with their attitude. While there is a negative correlation observed between the financial state of parent with their daily routine and also with the parents' attitude. This study gives us a broad idea regarding the changes in the attitude of the parents due to the long stay in the NICU. This is also related to parents' counseling & communication skills by NICU staff & junior doctors. It also focuses on the need to improve the counselling abilities of junior doctors with a view to alleviate the anxiety of parents.Keywords

The present paper is an attempt to examine adolescent attitude towards school satisfaction. It also studies the gender difference and problem areas. Sample for the study includes 112 students (56 adolescent boys, and adolescent girls) between the age group of 11-15 years, at different schools from Nagpur. The data were analyzed with the help of compared "t" test, an analysis of variance showed a Mean of Adolescent boy's school satisfaction 65.78, and adolescent girls Mean 79.78, and t-value is -6.536, significant at 0.05 levels. An analysis of other (Conners 3™ Self Report Short questionnaires) a Mean of Adolescent boys is 46.73, and adolescent girls Mean 37.19 and t-value is 9.630, significant at 0.05 level. Based on study, there is a new emphasis not only on arranging the learning environment or school satisfaction, but also on the prevention of many learning and behavior problem that stem from an ill-considered learning environment and school satisfaction, too many students with learning and attention problem are refusing or failing-not because of their own inadequacies but because an inconsiderate learning environment and school satisfaction makes learning difficult for them.Keywords
