Abstract
A nineteen year old male presented to the casualty department of our tertiary care hospital with a history of snake venom addiction. The case coloured on a background of emotionally unstable personality disorder and poly substance abuse {as per criteria coinciding with ICD-10}. Behavioural traits were characterized typically by impulsivity, mood swings and marked interpersonal dysfunction. The hallmark of the case was however an absence of severe and evident withdrawal symptoms caused due to venom intoxication.
