Oral lichen planus is a chronic inflammatory immunological reaction in which epidermal or epithelial basal cell damage produces mucocutaneous lesions of various types anticipated to occur in 0.5 to 1 % of adult individuals of the middle ages, consequential in mucosal ulceration and scarring. The basis of this study is to explore the usefulness of tacrolimus to treat the oral lesion of lichen planus. Consequently, in the present study we have included a group of patients having oral lichen planus, we intend to uncover a collateral therapy for oral lichen planus other than corticosteroids which has been the mainstay of treatment since their introduction decades ago.Keywords
