How Business Process Management Can Reinvent the Performance Metrics?:A Case Study of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation

Performance management system, KPIs and business process management etc are organizational systems of great significance for creating corporate performance. A revisit to organizational processes can throw lot of light on the requirement of improvements. A simple process of bus departure at the depot of Karnataka Road Transport Corporation is taken for study and business processes are simplified. Efforts are made to draw and understand the processes and KPIs process owners. In this paper, I have tried to shed light on comparison of‘As is’ and ‘To be’ processes of Karnataka Road Transport Corporation.

Further performance metric of Depot Managers are studied and analyzed for identifying the gaps. After the gap analysis the suggestions are made to introduce KPIs to each and every role in the Bus Depot structure. This paper analysis how an organization can percolate its objectives to the grass ischolar_main level workers by redefining and adding proper KPIs to employees working in different organization structure.
