Significant shift in commerce worldwide has accelerated the need for organisation to discover innovative ways to deal with psychological and physiological need of employees in market place realities. Dealing with the Gen Y in this weakening economic condition has become a vital challenge and the only solution to all this is gaining the equilibrium between the employee and the organization demands. Research has shown that employee engagement is very strongly connected to business success. Engaged employees lead to engaged customers, and this, in turn translates into long term profitability and retention of key employees. In this paper we are trying to study the role of engagement in building job satisfaction amongst employees leading to performance and building of a stable organisation.Keywords
