Impact of Whatsapp Messenger on Academic Performance of Students-A Case Study of SIRT-Bhopal

In the present scenario a transformation of the mobile phone from a status symbol to a necessity has occurred because of the countless benefits that a mobile phone provides as a personal diary, email dispatcher, calculator, camera, etc. The younger generation is the latest consumer of the mobile phones. Whats App Messenger is an instant messaging app for phones. It is used is used to text messages, send images, video and audio media messages group chats. The service is free for one year and after that a very small amount is charged yearly.

The use of this assortment of social messenger has diverse effects on the user's life, some of which are negative and others, positive. This study is aimed at investigating the impact of messenger on student academic performance a case of Sagar Group of Institutions Bhopal.
