Chikungunya is caused by an arbovirus and transmitted by Aedesaegypti mosquito. Chikungunya is a viral disease that is very similar in symptoms and etiology to the disease, dengue fever. The virus responsible for chikungunya is alpha virus, which is transmitted through the aedesaegypti mosquito, which is active only in the daytime. The aedesaegypti mosquito is the same mosquito that is responsible for the transmission of dengue fever among humans. High fever and arthritic pain, especially severe pain on extremes is characteristic of chikungunya fever. In allopathic, treatment is based on the symptoms. Keywords
