A study was conducted at Chitrakoot-Satna (M.P.) and Smriti Products (Pvt.) Ltd., Saha, Ambala (Haryana), during April to June 2014 to determine the chemical quality of raw milk as influenced by stages of lactation of crossbred cows. The objective was to evaluate the compositional quality of raw milk of different crossbred cows. Ten healthy cows, free from any disease, and maintained under similar management conditions, were selected for the study. All sanitary precautions were undertaken to produce clean milk. The samples of raw milk collected from time to time, were tested to determine total solid (%), fat (%), solid not fat (%), protein (%), lactose (%), ash (%), specific gravity (cc), and water (%). The data obtained for the aforesaid tests were subjected to statistical analysis. The results of the statistical analysis showed that the differences in TS, fat. SNF, protein, lactose, ash and water of raw milk were non-significant and the results of F-test were also found non-significant due to stages of lactation. Only specific gravity was significant. Therefore, the chemical quality of raw milk of crossbred cows was not influenced by stages of lactation. The results further indicated that compositional quality of raw milk of third lactation stage (S3) was best followed by second (S2) and first (S1) stages of lactation.Keywords

A study was conducted at Chitrakoot-Satna (M.P.) and Smriti Products (Pvt.) Ltd., Saha, Ambala (Haryana), during April to June 2014 to evaluate the chemical quality of raw milk of Murrah breed. The objective was to find out the compositional quality of raw milk of Murrah breed, and to find out the effect of morning and evening milking on compositional quality of raw milk. All sanitary precautions were followed to produce clean milk. The samples of raw milk collected for ten days, were tested to determine the percentage of fat, protein, lactose, ash, total solid, water, solid not fat (SNF); and specific gravity. The data obtained for the aforesaid tests were subjected to statistical analysis. The results of the statistical analysis showed that the differences in percentage of fat, protein, ash, total sugar and water in the raw milk of Murrah breed were significant and the results of F-test were also found significant. The differences in percentage of lactose and SNF; and specific gravity were, however, non-significant. It was, therefore, concluded that effect of morning and evening milking interval on chemical quality of milk of Murrah breed was significantly influenced. Morning milk was better than evening milk.Keywords

To study of chemical qualities of raw milk of buffalo was conducted at chitrakoot satna (M .P.) the objective was to find out the chemical quality of buffalo’s on fat, protein, lactose ash water, sp, gr., S.N.F. and T. S. compositional quality of raw milk and under full hand diagonal method of milking at mini dairy farm statistical analysis applying the technique of analysis of variance (f-test) the most widely used method for determining protein content by kjeldahi method for nitrogen determination since nitrogen is a characteristic element in protein by its accurate determination protein characteristic can be finding animal showed considerable variation regarding the principal components in milk. Results presented above, that the chemical quality of raw buffalo milk at morning (M1) was found best in terms of maximum protein (%), specific gravity (cc), fat (%), lactose (%), total solid (%) and solid not fat (SNF) (%) and minimum ash (%) and water (%); followed by evening milk (M3) and noon milk (M2).Keywords

The experiment was conducted at the Livestock Production and Management unit, MGCGV Chitrakoot - Satna M.P. To complete the research work following steps were followed. Day old 75 broiler chicks (DOC) of same hatch were produced and reared in Deep litter system. The chicks were weighed, leg banded and distributed randomly into five groups of 15 chicks each as treatment. Chicks of each treatment were further divided into three sub groups of five chicks in each in Randomized Block Design ( RBD). Chicks of each sub group were accommodated comfortably in cage system providing 1 sq. ft./ chick. Chicks were fed standard starter ration upto 2 weeks age (1 to 14 days) and then broiler finisher ration upto 2-4 weeks (22-28 days). An experiment was conducted with DOC to 75 broilers chicks divided into five groups T0, T1,T2, T3 and T4 which were supplemented with turmeric powder @ 5.0g, 5.0g, 5.0g and 5.0g/kg of broiler ration, respectively. Weekly observations were recorded for live body weight, weekly gain in weight, weekly feed consumption and feed conversion of birds for four weeks. Based on the results of the experiment, it may be concluded that feed supplementation with Turmeric (Curcuma longa) powder influenced the body weight, gain in body weight, feed intake and feed efficiency of broiler chicks. Based on feed intake and feed efficiency (low feed intake and higher feed conversion ratio), economically best performance of broilers was obtained with T3 (feed supplementation of 5 g turmeric powder with 1 kg standard ration), followed by T4 (feed supplementation of 5 g ginger powder with 1 kg standard ration). Economicaly T3 was superior over all other treatment and control.Keywords
