Abstract

Himachal Pradesh is a state in Northern part of India with Shimla as the state capital. It is spread over 21,495 sq miles (55,670 km²), and is bordered by the states of Jammu and Kashmir on the north, Punjab on the west and south-west, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh on the south, Uttarakhand on the south-east. Himachal Pradesh is located between 30°10´ to 33°12´ north latitude and 75°47´ to 79°04' east longitude.
