Perkins (1912) described the genus Ectopioglossa based on the type species Ectopioglossa australensis Perkins, 1912 [= Eumenes australensis Meade Waldo, 1910 = Ectopioglossa polita australensis (Meade Waldo)]. This genus of potter wasps (Vespidae: Eumeninae) is distributed in the Australian and Oriental Regions.References

Van der Vecht (1963) described the genus Coeleumenes based on the type species Montezumia impavida Bingham, 1897. It is an Oriental genus of potter wasps (Vespidae: Eumeninae) known by ten species with one additional subspecies worldwide of which four species are recorded from the Indian subcontinent and two species from India.References

Molluscs dwelling on land belong to the class Gastropoda and those inhabiting in freshwater are represented by the classes Gastropoda and Bivalvia. About 24000 species of land molluscs and 7000 species of freshwater molluscs are known to science (Lydeard et al., 2004). In India, 1129 species of land molluscs (Ramakrishna et al., 2010) and 208 species of freshwater molluscs (Ramakrishna and Dey, 2007; Köhler & Glaubrecht, 2007; Reid et al., 2013) are so far reported.- Freshwater Crabs (Crustacea: Decapoda: Brachyura: Gecarcinucidae) in the Collection of Western Ghat Regional Centre, Zoological Survey of India, Kozhikode

The genus Chrysocharis Foerster is represented so far by 137 species in the world (Noyes, 2012). Among these 25 species occur in the Oriental Region and 13 species are known from the Indian subcontinent (which includes India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Bhutan and Sri Lanka) (Hansson, 1985a, 1985b; Khan et al., 2005). The species of Chrysocharis are economically very important since their hosts are mostly larvae or pupae of Leaf mining insects. The purpose of this paper is to review Chrysocharis species of the Indian subcontinent, to describe new taxa and to provide a new key for identification of these species. Keywords

The pteromalid genus Gastracanthus Westwood (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Pteromalidae) belongs to the tribe trigonoderini, which is presently placed in the subfamily Pteromalinae (Boucek, 1988). In the cladistic analysis of the world genera of Trigonoderini, Heydon (1997) revised the genus Gastracanthus and also described a new species from the Oriental region (Taiwan).- Additional Notes on the Genus Ancylotropus Cameron (Hymenoptera: Eucharitidae) from Indian Subcontinent

The genus Ancylotropus was erected by Cameron (1909) based on the male specimen of the type species Ancylotropus cariniscutis Cameron. This genus was treated briefly by Narendran & Sheela (1995) and Boucek (1988) and in detail by Heraty (2002). They are distributed in Palaeotropical Region through the Malagasy subregion to western Malaysia. Six species are known from all over the world of which 4 species were reported from Oriental Region including 2 species from Indian subcontinent.- A Taxonomic Revision of Oriental Dipara Walker (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Pteromalidae) with Descriptions of Six New Species from India

The genus Dipara Walker belongs to the subfamily Diparinae of Pt e romalidae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea) and is known for 42 described species throughout the world with eleven species known from the Oriental Region (Noyes, 2003). Desjardins (2007) attempted the phylogenetics and reclassification of world Diparinae in which he synonymised ten genera under Dipara based on phylogenetic analysis. Taxonomic studies on Dipara from the Oriental region were attempted by Narendran et al, 2000, Narendran & Mini, 2000, Narendran & Sureshan, 2001, Sureshan & Narendran 2004, 2005, Xiao & Huang, 1999 and Huang & Xiao, 2005.- The Species of Monacon (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Perilampidae) from India and Adjacent Countries

Ladakh region of the Trans-Himalaya is characterized by its peculiar topography, harsh climatic conditions and is usually referred as 'cold desert'. The fauna of the region is very distinct and unique due to its location being at the confluence of two of the world's Zoogeographical Regions ie. the Palearctic and the Oriental. High levels of endemism and species richness occur in the area and Palearctic elements dominate in the fauna of the Region (Mani 1974).- New Record of the Genus Cochlischnogaster Dong and Otsuka (Hymenoptera: Vespidae: Stenogastrinae) from the Indian Subcontinent

The hover wasps, Stenogastrinae, are a group of primitively eusocial wasps endemic to the Oriental region. They occupy an intermediate position between the solitary Eumeninae and the social Polistinae and Vespinae (Pickett and Carpenter, 2010). Members of this group exhibit considerable diversity in social behaviour and nest architecture. They usually inhabit shady parts of tropical forests and generally construct their delicate nests near water streams. The adult wasps do not fold their wings when at rest.- First Record of Deiphobe incisa werner, 1933 (Insecta : Mantodea) from Jharkhand, India and Morphology of Male Genitalia

The praying mantid species Hestiasula castetsi Bolivar (1897) belonging to the family Hymenopodidae is reported for the first time from Kerala, India with the description of the unique male. Two male specimens were collected from the Aralam Wildlife sanctuary of Kannur district, Kerala located in the southern Western Ghats. This species is diagnosed by the general form, by the very different form of frontal sclerite, wings and prolonged titillator of the genital. The genital of this species is quite unique and hence its placement under genus Hestiasula needs future research. Keywords
