Himachal Pradesh is a state in Northern part of India with Shimla as the state capital. It is spread over 21,495 sq miles (55,670 km2), and is bordered by the states of Jammu and Kashmir on the north, Punjab on the west and south-west, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh on the south, Uttarakhand on the south-east. Himachal Pradesh is located between 30°10´ to 33°12´ north latitude and 75°47´ to 79°04' east longitude.
