Abstract

High resolution laser spectroscopic measurements on potassium 4s²S_1/2→6s²S_1/2 two-photon transition. The hyperfine spread was measured for ³⁹K and ⁴¹K isotopes. The absolute frequency values of the centre of gravity of ³⁹K and ⁴¹K were measured within an accuracy of 10 MHz. Details on the investigations is discussed.
