Abstract
Reliability is the probability that an item will perform a required function under stated conditions for a stated period of time. Component failure analysis and Root cause investigation are the ways to quantify the measure of failure. Reliability important indices are calculated through combinatorial approaches of FMECA (Failure Modes and Effect Criticality Analysis) and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis). Hydraulic systems require good seal and efficient way to operate for maintaining system status. An attempt is made in the present paper to set up reliability indices of Hydraulic Trainer System for establishing direction and prioritization of action related to an upgrading effort (Reliability Improvement) in system design.
