Abstract
Estimation of uncertainty in measurement is very important in any measurement since any measurement is meaningless if it is not accompanied by uncertainty. Generally all laboratories use Type A & Type B method for estimation of uncertainty in measurement. During the estimation of combined standard uncertainty it is necessary to know how sensitive the output, for any change in input quantity. The sensitivity coefficient describes how sensitive the output is to a particular influence quantity. This is to be calculated and used while estimating uncertainty in measurement. This paper outlines with examples how to arrive at sensitivity coefficient for each input quantity using practical approach.
