Inaugurating 'Amtex 2003', the Asian Machine Tool Exhibition, at Sri Kanteerava Indoor Stadium at Bangalore, the Minister for Large and Medium Industries, R.V. Deshpande, said that Bangalore would soon get a permanent exhibition site for holding major trade fairs and similar events. The exhibition facility would come up by mid-year at Whitefield as a joint effort of the KIADB and the ITPL, he said. It was felt necessary because of the large number of trade fairs being conducted frequently in the City with major Indian and overseas companies participating.
