Manufacturing of future products needs knowledge, technologies and procedures that are different from the ones hitherto used and mastered over time. Added to this the need for product realization from new materials in new configurations having submicron sizes with complex features has posed new challenges in manufacturing concepts and procedures. This paper deals with some of the challenges in meso, micro and nano manufacturing.
