Absolute Frequency Measurements of 4s2S1/2→6s2S1/2 Two-Photon Transition of Potassium for Application in Frequency Metrology

High resolution laser spectroscopic measurements on potassium 4s2S1/2→6s2S1/2 two-photon transition. The hyperfine spread was measured for 39K and 41K isotopes. The absolute frequency values of the centre of gravity of 39K and 41K were measured within an accuracy of 10 MHz. Details on the investigations is discussed.
