This paper deals with the estimation of uncertainty of viscosity measurement of an epoxy-anhydride mix by Analog Brook Field Viscometer in line with the requirements of ISO 17025: 2005. The different factors as listed below contributing uncertainty in the viscosity measurement have been identified and total uncertainty of viscosity measurement by Brookfield Viscometer has been estimated.

1. Type A component of uncertainty

2. Type B component of uncertainty attributed to the following factors:

a. Uncertainty reported in the calibration certificate of the viscometer

b. Uncertainty arising from the accuracy and precision of Brook Field Viscometer.

c. Uncertainty arising from the variation of temperature during viscosity measurement

The expended uncertainty obtained in the viscosity measurement of the epoxyanhydride mix is 1.84 cP at a coverage factor 1.96 which for normal distribution corresponds to approximately 95% confidence level.
