A Question Defining New Era in Women Empowerment-Should Women Really Participate in Family Business?

To empower means to give power or authority legally or officially, and when we talk about women empowerment which has been a burning issue all over the world we are left with no answers. It's true that women have embarked their existence in every field but there is an area in which the name of the women has not echoed yet i.e. family business.

Purpose of the research is to truly understand what women empowerment is, what are the opportunities a women have in a family business and there needs to be a sea-change in the mind-set of the people in the country. Not just the women themselves, but the men have to wake up to a world that is moving towards equality and equity. This can only happen if there is a channelized route for the empowerment of women.

On the basis of collection of data, chi-square test has been applied to the hypotheses which depicts acceptance of women in family business.

The study revealed that participation of women in family business is an important domain which synergizes the habit of cooperation. It empowers and turns a women a multi-tasking one.

Further research is needed to replicate this research by incorporating other important variables on a large sample to validate more about the findings of the study.
