Agriculture is nothing but food production on the nature earth. Agriculture marketing is buying and selling of agricultural goods. This definition was suitable at the earlier stages. The term marketing was not very much associated with agriculture in earlier days as it was only food production which was considered in agriculture marketing. The villages selling the food production was self sufficient. The market earlier where the agriculture goods sold was in the local market and there were no difficulties in marketing as the business was done on cash basis but in the present scenario there are many changes in the agricultural fields and many professional concepts like marketing is growing in this branch of marketing. There are many developments in this field and in our countries economy agriculture plays a major role due to which researchers selected under this area of management.. In the competitive age now it's not only the food production that needs marketing but also the inputs in the agriculture sector like pesticides, fertilizers, tractors used in the farm also needs marketing as there are many competitors . Through this paper we focus on this agricultural area of marketing management, in the scope of agricultural marketing, the present practices in the agricultural marketing in India, the problems faced in this branch of marketing and the vision of Indian government towards agriculture marketing.
