Present work deals with a detailed palynological investigation on 147 species distributed over 23 genera of the family Capparaceae. Most of these are Asian and African species with few American ones.

Pollen characters have been found useful in the delimitation of subfamily, tribe and genera to certain extent. In certain cases interspecific relationship is exposed by correlating pollen and seed characters together.

This study will be helpful in the living and fossil pollen analysis.
