Two new populations of Humboldtia bourdillonii Prain, an endemic tree of southern Western Ghats, Kerala, were recorded from Kulamavu forest, Idukki district,Kerala. The earlier populations reported are from Arjunankotta-Poonkavanam forests in Periyar Tiger Reserve of Peermede plateau. The population structure including number of mature individuals, gbh, age class along with major associates and seedling bank of the populations were analyzed as part of population ecology and subsequent in situ conservation of the species.
