Cinnamomum ovalifolium (Lauraceae) –A New Record for India with Notes on its Lectotypification

Cinnamomum ovalifolium Wight, a Sri Lankan plant has been recorded for the first time from India. It was collected from the Kerala part of Agasthyamala Biosphere Reserve of Thiruvananthapuram district, southern Western Ghats. A detailed account on taxonomy, ecology and illustration of the species has been provided for the easy identification.
