Abstract

Beryl Margaret Bainbridge was born on 21st November 1934 in Liverpool, England. She spent her life in the countryside England. As a result most of her earlier writings deal with the themes in connection with her Liverpoolian upbringing. She has drawn on her personal history:her Liverpool upbringing, her time as an actress and life in 1960s Camden Town.
