India's first encounter with the multinational company was the East India Company. The prominent roles it came with were to conduct trade and transport Indian fauna and flora to augment its resources. This economic activity came wrapped in cellophanus ambition. Its role as a trader gradually turned into a tyrannical ruler. After removing the shackles of exploitation of this British Multinational Company India remained a closed economy till 1991. To bring India on the global stand the government had to open various sectors like infrastructure, automobile, electronic appliances, tourism, information technology, food and beverages to the multinational companies. Gradually they started pouring capital investment, technology and other valuable resources causing a surge in GDP and upliftment of our economy.
