The present paper aims at discussing two-dimensional fluid motions superposable on one another. The case where one flow is rotational and the other irrotational is capable of being solved easily; and the problem of self-superposability which has been the subject of interesting studies on the continent and elsewhere in a different garb, effects considerable simplification in Navier-Stokes equations.- Steady Uniplanar Superposable Fluid Motions

The object of this paper is to investigate the types of steady rotational and irrotational uniplanar motions in an inviscid homogeneous incompressible fluid which are mutually superposable. First, a general discussion of steady uniplanar motions superposable on an irrotational flow is given, and then the particular case of two-dimensional motions is considered.- On Superposability
