Abstract

The functions E_n(x) and E_n+m(x) have no common zeros, n+1 being not a negative integer, and m being a positive integer.

NOTE: By (4), the real axis is a cut for E_n(x) so that when we speak of the zeros of E_n(x) we mean only those lying in I(x)>0 and I(x)<0.

Abstract

Bourget assumed that J_n(x) and J_n+m(x) have no zeros in common except may be x=0 if n and m are positive integers including zero. But it seems possible to prove corresponding theorems for some of the associated Bessel Functions. This paper contains three theorems relating to the zeros of such functions.
