Abstract
The lamprophyres are found in the form of altered basic inclusions in the syenites of the Girnar Hills. On the basis of field and petrographic studies, the origin of the lamprophyres has been shown to be due to the reactions of the inclusions of basalt and gabbro with the syenites.
