Abstract
A new species of Noeggerathiopsis viz. N. palaeovittarioides has been described from Birsinghpur Pali coalfield, Madhya Pradesh, India. Its morphological and cuticular details are described which suggests that this species occupies an intermediate position between Noeggerathiopsis and Palaeovittaria and bridge the gap between Noeggerathiopsidales and Glossopteridales.
