The paper deals with textural studies of economic minerals like rutile, zircon, monazite, magnetite and ilmenite of Teknaf beach, Bangladesh. The study reveals that the degree of sphericity and roundness bear distinct relationship with relative abundance of the different size grades. The relative abundance of the different minerals is highly variable with either increase or decrease of sphericity values from 0.3 to 0.7 and roundness values from 0. 1 to 0.9; rutile and zircon are most abundant in 0.088 mm size grade and monazite is maximum (50%) in 0. 125 mm size grade, while both magnetite and ilmenite are present in a single size grade of 0.088 mm in proportions of 54% and 60% respectively.
