A new Cretaceous pachydiscid ammonoid genus Raoceras, with the type species Ammonites Kuluturensis Stoliczka, is proposed. The Genus is restricted to the Coniacian. Its affinity with other pachydiscid ammonoid genera, the associated fossils in the field and its stratigraphic status are given. The known pachydiscid species in various marine Cretaceous basins of India are listed and correlated.
