Earth Observing System (EOS)
Subscribe/Renew Journal
The Earth Observing System (EOS) is the centerpiece of a comprehensive global change research program planned by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the late 90s. As a part of this program, NASA is launching two series of polar platforms EOS A beginning 1997, and EOS B in 1999. The objective of this program is to make synergistic measurements of key environmental parameters of the Earth from a variety of sensors over a period of 15-25 years in order to understand and predict environmental changes.
