The paper reports molluscs (bivalves and gastropods) and ostracods from the Late Quaternary fluvio-lacustrine sediments of the Lamayuru basin, as well as from a present day lake in Leh, Ladakh. Eight fossiliferous horizons were located within the sequence. Out of seven micro-invertebrate taxa recovered. five (Pisidium sp. indet, Pisidium mitchelli, Succinea sp. indet, Gyraulus convexisculus and llyocypris gibba) are reported for the first time from the Ladakh region.
