Sexual dimorphism in the liver cells of Mastacembeliis pancalus has been recognized. During maturation and spawning seasons the amount of cytoplasmic granules in the hepatic cells of female increased and nucleus becomes hypertrophied. But no remarkable seasonal changes in the liver cells of male have been observed.
