Two different doses (1% and 2%) of Ethyl Methane Sulphonate (EMS), a known mutagen was treated on two different fishes, namely, tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus) and koi (Anabas testudineus) in respect of suitable distilled water treated control. The present paper aims to assess the relationship of micronuclei, anomalous nuclei and nucleo-cytoplasmic ratio of red blood corpuscles induced by EMS in these fish models. The result shows a positive co-relation among all these parameters examined and inflict an insight towards the relevance of these parameters on the pollution status of the water body.Keywords
