Abstract
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common but complex endocrine disorder and is a major cause of anovulation and consequently infertility. It is characterized with hyperandrogenism and metabolic disturbance, such as hyperinsulinemia, insulin resistance and obesity etc. Despite its prevalence little is known about its aetiology.
