The decrease inflow of foreign aid in real terms to developing countries in recent years, coupled with growing requirements has brought about a greater realisation of the need to keep existing facilities in optimum use. Hence people on the workspot should be enlightened about the different parameters of terotechnology like management, financial, engineering and other practices applied to physical assests in pursuit of economic life-cycle cost.

Especially in the field of technical education, proper maintenance strategies have to be adopted to upkeep the quality and sanctity of education. The matter becomes more important and serious when the number of technical institutions are on the increase where less has cared for maintaining the standards of teaching, good policies of equipment maintenance, in all neglecting the major share of budget ear marked for education.

In thin work a thorough study is made to correlate the principles of terotechnology for the application and best utilisation of the man, machine and facility to swim abreast with development.
