Technical Writing and Editing

The art of technical writing and editing is a rapidly developing field. But in our country it is still not very well recognized. The engineers are generally not taught to write and it has been observed that though otherwise very competent, very senior engineers are quite poor in expression and technical writing. This results in contribution of highly sub-standard manuscripts by technical authors which consequently renders the job of technical editor difficult and cumbersome.
