Compaction of Foundation Soils by Vibratory Equipment

Two methods of strengthening soils beneath foundations of structures in industrial and urban areas are described. The first method is stabilization of surface soils and the second method is vibroflotation. A comparative study is made of applications and performance of surface vibrators. Three practical examples of utilization of vibroflotation are examined.
