In industrialized building construction, the factory made structural elements are to be assembled in their designed positions to build a structure. This gives many advantages over the traditional system of construction but at the same time it projects the problem of making connections between the precast structural members for transmission of different forces and moments from member to member. The connections determine the type of structural action developed in the members and the structure as a whole.
