"Analytical Methods in Structural Engineering"

The author has discussed some of the soalled analytical methods in structural analysis. From the format of the book it appears that the author believes in teaching through examples. About one hundred problems have been-worked out for this purpose. General discussions on various methods are brief which is not very much desirable for a standard book. An explicit comparative study of various methods presented in the book would have been very useful. In a book of this type a well selected reference is extremely necessary such that interested readers may be acquainted with the origin of the method and may consult such reference for fundamental details and further information.
