The problem of the distribution of the Bending Moments on reinforced concrete slabs, has been declared by many present-day Reinforced Concrete Engineers as indeterminate and they have been content so far to accept the well-known formulae of Grashof and Rankine, or the French Government Rules on Reinforced Concrete.
