The "Brabazon" 130-Ton Civil Air Liner:Part I

The successful completion of the maiden flight of the Brabazon 130-ton air liner on Sept. 4. 1949. is an important milestone in the history of aviation. This aircraft was conceived in 1943, when a committee set up to consider the post-war requirements of British civil aviation recommended the development of five different types of aircraft. These ranged in size from small feeder-line machines to the 130-ton Brabazon.
