The first Soviet-made gas-turbine locomotive built at the Kolomna Plant has 3,500 h.p., develops a speed of over 120 kilometres an hour, and has maximum haulage capacity upto 2,200 tons. The "GT-OI"-as the new locomotive is called-has already passed a number of important tests and shown excellent haulage and service qualities.
