Iron Powder Electrode:Weld Metal Costing

It is not always correct to judge the economics of an electrode by looking at the manufacturer's price list only. The economics has to be judged in terms of cost of the desposited weld metal. This weld metal cost is determined by the amount of weld metal obtained from an electrode and the arc time required to deposit unit weight of weld metal. An electrode which is more expensive on the list price may work out cheaper if its weld metal yield is much higher and faster.
