In the February, 1966 issue of the journal. C. S. Mckinney and three others have published an article on TELEVISION INSPECTION OF SEWERS. The equipments consist of a portable generator for power, an intercom system, a radio for communication, cup boards and cabinets for storage and an air-conditioning unit to keep the carrier truck and equipment cool for efficient operation. The TV camera (17.1cm) in dia, had as its light source 6 miniature flood lights mounted around the lens.

A sewer cleaning ball is inserted in the sewer line and is flushed through forcing all debris ahead of it, thus cleaning out the line and ensuring free passage for the camera.
