The work discuss the reducing the casting defects in foundry shop through a experiment. The study deals with an application of six sigma DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analysis-Improve-control) methodology in an industry to minimize the casting defects that's occur in the production of aluminium (KS-1275) piston and optimize the process variable an improve the performance.
