Abstract
The impact of reduced energy and protein intake at the beginning of life on the actual and/or later development of the organism was followed in many studies, as stimulated by nutritional problems in developing countries. The character of the consequences of malnutrition depends on the degree of malnutrition, whether it lasts only during one or more generations, then on the character of malnutrition, its duration and the period of the ontogeny when it is induced and so forth.
