The relationship between obesity and hypertension is well established both in adults and children. Obese individuals exhibit higher levels of ambulatory Blood Pressure (BP) from childhood to old age. Obese subjects display higher BP levels than non- obese individuals even in the normo tensive range. The combination of obesity, hypertension and other cardiovascular risk factors significantly increases the probability of adverse cardiovascular out-comes. Similarly Deshmukh, et al. concluded that, there was a significant positive correlation of obesity indicators with both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Kim, et al . reported that obese males and females had similar profiles for developing metabolic syndrome components including hypertension, dyslipidemia and diabetes.
