Hypertension is one of the most important causes of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. It has become a significant health problem in many developing countries. Age, obesity, alcohol consumption and high blood pressure are closely associated with increasing risk of developing hypertension. The relevance of both hypertension and obesity, as important public health challenge, is increasing worldwide. Compared with the year 2000, the number of adults with hypertension is predicted to increase by 60 per cent to a total of 1.56 billion by the year 2025.- The Effect of Chemotherapy on the Antioxidant Status and Lipid Peroxidation in Patients with Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women of developed and developing countries. Cancer itself imparts an oxidative stress on the host organism. This is illustrated by the rapid elevation of lipid peroxidation products and impaired antioxidant status of animals xenografted with various tumours and cancers exhibit similar changes.- A Correlative Study of Antioxidant Supplementation and Oxidant, Antioxidant Status with Lipid Profiles in Smokers and Chain Smokers
